WELCOME TO THE PRIVACY POLICY OF JAGLUS (PTY) LTD

This Policy will determine, and explain, how we will deal with any personal information that has been supplied to us. To put you at ease, it is our absolute intent to protect and respect any personal information that has been provided to us. In order for us to render a proper and professional service to you as our customer, we inevitably have to obtain and utilise some of your personal information. By using any of our shopping mechanisms, you agree and consent to the processing of your Personal Information as set out in this Privacy Policy. We do not make use of any tracking tool and/or “cookies” and no information is gathered other than that provided to us by yourself.

  1. DEFINITIONS

 

  • Privacy Policy – This Privacy Policy which applies to our Website which you have chosen to visit, and any mobile site and/or any other mechanism on which you have engaged with us, whether same be current or any such future mechanisms;
  • POPI – The Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013;
  • Personal Information – Will have the same meaning as per POPI, which states:

Personal Information means information relating to an identifiable, living, natural person, and where it is applicable, an identifiable, existing juristic person, including, but not limited to—
(a) information relating to the race, gender, sex, pregnancy, marital status, national, ethnic or social origin, colour, sexual orientation, age, physical or mental health, well-being, disability, religion, conscience, belief, culture, language and birth of the person;
(b) information relating to the education or the medical, financial, criminal or employment history of the person;
(c) any identifying number, symbol, e-mail address, physical address, telephone number, location information, online identifier or other particular assignment to the person;
(d) the biometric information of the person;
(e) the personal opinions, views or preferences of the person;
(f) correspondence sent by the person that is implicitly or explicitly of a private or confidential nature or further correspondence that would reveal the contents of the original correspondence;
(g) the views or opinions of another individual about the person; and
(h) the name of the person if it appears with other personal information relating to the person or if the disclosure of the name itself would reveal information about the person;

  • Child/Children/minor – any person/s under the age of 18 years;
  • Parent – Such parent or guardian of any minor child;

Should you be younger than 18 years of age, you must ensure that you get permission from your parent/s or guardian, prior to using this website and/or any of our other shopping or advertising mechanisms. It is also important that you obtain such permission prior to providing us with any of your personal information.

We reserve our right to verify whether such permission has been obtained, but it will not be our responsibility to verify same. Should you refuse to provide the relevant information to verify the consent, we reserve the right to refuse any of our services and you are also not allowed to access our mechanisms.
